Nice post, you hit the nail on the head. Hype, Hype, Hype, CRASH. XBox Live has had 2 systems to perfect its features and continually impresses. Interaction, availability, rewards, ect. I would like to see Sony succeed in providing an online community even-close to what XBox Live provides, but alas, it may never happen. Ultimately more members online is beneficial to the gaming community. I have nothing against Sony, and feel that success for any system only benefits us, (the gamers)!
You want to see a MS Money machine at full speed. Check out the XBox Live monthly sales, for just games, let alone movies, music videos, tv shows, ect. XBox Live has perfected this. XBox Live service is making them a TON of money, and will continue to do so. In the end, it may be beneficial to ask PS3 owners to pay for the service monthly. Please do not destroy me for the suggestion, but sometimes you have to pay for quality, and free doesn't always mean better. If you cant afford, oh......say $8.00 monthly, you really shouldn't have even bought a PS$3$!
