not sure how things are in europe but america has very little choice. on the one end you get an "all you can eat buffet" from the cable company but most packages clock in over $100,.. most of my friends pay about $160 - $190 (including internet).
on the other end you have netflix which costs $9 but has "very little" content.
netflix has been great for me because i don't watch much tv (i game instead) but my wife constantly tells me how much it is lacking. still, she's unwilling to go all the way up to comcast's package because it costs too much. since we already have the playstation my wife very well may demand this. she was already interested in it before at least in a curious way,.. she wanted more details but she was interested.
in america at least i think there will be an audience. the market is just ripe for distruption right now it really is a matter of who does it. apple has a lot of brand name going into this but sony is now on the market so who knows,.. maybe they will "win". sony NEEDs to support more devices to really succeed but if they do it fast enough this could be a really good business for sony.
