I'd like them, if they were going to, voice every major 'scene' in the game. The starting scenes with Ester and Joe should be voiced, don't need to after that, well they could, her lines are short after that. The Turks need to be voiced, Vera needs to be voiced. Biggs, Wedge and Jessie need to be voiced. Even Professor Gast in his little scenes maybe.
Anyway, Hiku gets it. The feel of the game with a complete graphical upgrade may be lost completely, the chibi characters helped the feel of it and would have to stay, so it might not work.
FF8 would definitely work as upgraded graphics because they tried to make those characters more western anyway and FF9 were cartoonish so and update to that would work also.
