Specialize =/= exclusive to. As I said above, if a chef is specialized in making lasgna, that doesn't mean he's restricted to just making lasagna. It just means he's arguably the best at making lasagna over anything else. Hence, Nintendo is specialized at platformers as they've made more of them than any other genre and they are the highest rated in that genre. By your logic, none of the other developers in my list are specialized at all considering all of them have made games outside of their respective genres. Your attitude is highly unnecessary.

Nintendo doesn't concentrate on platformers. They make, and have always made a variey of game types. And they've been mostly stellar in all of them.
Other devs, like From Software, Turn 10, Poliphony Digital, Atlus, among others, don't make multiple game types. They may have in the past, but they are not anymore. Hence, they're specialized.
