My Monster Hunter character has bested dragons, crazed monkeys, dinosaurs, a volcano, the frozen tundra, falling from 200 stories up, demons, the sky, death itself, horrible plagues, strange tasting consumable items and can wield a multitude of weapons with a degree of mastery and most importantly, has a taste for fashion. I give myself a 5% chance of survival, 6% if I had a weapon.

If they can't be a custom character then Captain Falcon blinds and obliterates me with his sheer manliness.   I can't combat that.
