The counter to that of course is that PS4 had the benefit of Japan sales in Jan and 2 weeks of Feb for 2015, which did not happen in 2014, and it is still down YoY over the time period leading up to the Japan launch. So being down YoY isn't just because of the Japan launch. If you remove Japan sales for the first 6 (7?) weeks of the year then things are down quite a bit more. So if you knock 95K off Jan and the first 2 weeks of feb for 2015 that gives you the true picture of how much PS4 is down YoY compared to the same timeframe in 2014. Which is PS4 is ~157K down YoY for Jan and the first 2 weeks of Feb. Which is more than 10% down for that time frame. |
According Vgchartz the Ps4 sold in Japan

according VGZ the sold 1 727 827 Ps4 between 1 january-1st march 2014.
