we will have to see how NPD goes before even starting to claim that. it had a solid Feb and we will have to see how march goes. there is battlefield this month, MKX in april, Witcher in May and Batman in June. there is a steady and solid set of releases for it in the coming months. while i dont see it beating the PS4 in any, (without another price cut). i can see it doing better than last year and holding a more steady pace.

Like I said, it's not 'doom'. Of course the XB1 is going to get spikes when there are big releases, especially when MS have the marketing rights, but even the WiiU has spikes in sales. I'm talking about the weekly averagess. If you look at this month and what the PS4 has that the XB1 doesn't, you have to ask yourself how the momentum of the PS4 will effect mindshare in April. By the time May comes along, the mindshare could be so strong for the PS4 that The Witcher may well create a spike for the XB1 but perhaps NOT the spike we would expect. Perhaps The Witcher might create a spike in favour of the PS4. Then we also have Dark Souls HD, which is likely to push interest more on the PS4 simply because it's a Souls game and Bloodborne is seen as a Souls game. IF the XB1 can't match the PS4s momentum or at least slow it down, we could see a rapid decline in weekly sales for the XB1.

add in the FFX/X-2 remasters. FF fans might see it as a reason to adopt the PS4. That is why sony wanted that released they want the FF crowd in their corner when FF XV releases.
