I have played through and completed Assassins Creed and from my memory do not remember it being a FPS.
Sales roughly 2.4 : 1 in the favour of the 360.
Based on Assassins Creed being a new franchise and DMC4 being a Core Sony franchise (more so than GTA imo) I see GTA4 selling around 2:1 sales in America.
I am not sure when it is released in America but in the UK it is out on a Tuesday which is a bit unusual. I think 3 million is a great estimate 2 million on the 360 vs 1 million on the PS3.
No reason it cannot sell another 2 million in Europe as well to take total sales for the first week up to 5million.
