When I think of annualised series I think of series that gets a brand new mainline entry each year. I don't consider Final Fantasy an annualised series, despite the numerous spin-offs, because you're not getting a new numbered FF game each year. Same with Legend of Zelda.
Counting remakes doesn't make any sense to me, unless we're talking about reimaginations. A remake or remaster or whatever you want to call it is the same old game with a new paintjob. It's not a new game. And what about mere ports, do they count? Because it seems completely idiotic to me that series should get milk points (because let's face it, the far majority of people bring up the amount of entries to downplay games, very rarely is it brought up as a positive) because the developer dared to remake certain parts of the game.
