The Souls series is one of the best of last gen and all time. Absolutely fantastic gameplay in all 3 games, I was completely captivated. Started with Demons back when it came out and I remember the number of hours I put to best level 1-1, remembering how persistent I was to conquer it, while at the same time confused by its difficulty, getting weary of repeating the whole thing all over again every time I die. But then I opened up my first shortcut, I beat my first boss, I realized how critical the shield is, I understood the mechanics and the gameplay - then I found myself lost in soul form for so long. Dark Souls was equally beautiful, and I really enjoyed DS2 as well. This series stands among the best of the best.
