The Lords of the Fallen difficulty almost always cheep. Enemies made with random behavior without much thought to it. Sometimes they are shielded for a long time without an opening whatsoever. You just need stronger heavy weapons to master the game ( run + R2 jump attack ). No much skill is required.
The Souls games on the other hand depend more on the player skill and the ability to react fast and wisely. The enemies behavior is very well-thought, there is always a right time to strike them, if you missed it, you will be punished harshly.
The Souls games are more challenging, but there is always a good and precise way to overcome the challenge.
