Gamespot: Where are all the Great Console Games?

I think the biggest culprit here is because Sony/Microsoft decided that backwards compatibility was a thing of the past. During the first few years of the new console cycle I would always fill my gaps with cheap last gen games that I could still play on my new console. I still got GBA games when I had a DS, I still got GC games when I got my Wii, heck I got PS1 games when there was a ton to play on PS2 but since those games were cheap and I could play them on PS2 it was an easy buy. I'm glad the Wii U has BC (and good games) because I still have a huge backlog for my Wii (playing MH4U a lot though.) I think people just forget how good BC is until they start asking where are the games.
