I think there are legit confusions like Gow for gears- and God of war, whichboth are a huge franchise with a large fanbase, who are both using the same acronym to talk about the respective game. However FF and SF are not really confusing. I mean the vast majority knows FF means Final Fantasy and SF is the abbrevation for Street Fighter. Well in a way it is a lot more confusing if someone talks about fatal frame and uses FF than for example Gow (you know he/she either means god- or gears of war)
