I could understand you not wanting to play something because you might not enjoy it, but I still suggest giving it a go. I was intimidated when I started playing Catherine (and for the record, that game does feature difficulty modes but trust me when I say that easy is harder than most of the games out there), but I eventually could overcome it and finish it. I had a great sensation after making it through, and I guess the ridiculously high difficulty was a big barrier for most players, but I guess that's how the developer wanted it.

I do love difficulty, but I don't like to be annoyed. For example, I suffered more than enjoyed the ride in I wanna Be The Guy.

I understand you. I played Catherine. Great game, great story. Played on easy, but I never managed to get past chapter 5 (if I remember correctly). I remember spending an entire evening on it, repeated it for almost 2 hours, then deleted the game. The frustration of retrying the same level over and over was simply stronger than my interest in the rest of the story (and I really was very interested).

I don't have much time to play games, so I'd rather play them easy-breezy and have fun, than bite my fingernails in frustration for 40+ hours.
