M$ isn't just dropping price to be competitive, they are also doing some real legit shit. They are actually providing a good user experience to their users. Constantly updating and evolving their OS, providing great games, regardless if they are moneyhatted or not and giving an all-in-one experience to media whores. Hardware doesn't matter if you can't provide a great experience with it.
