Analog Stick: Yes/Yes
Only when the Nunchuck is attached and not an important impact IMO.
D-Pad: Yes/Yes
D-Pad is generic and expected, I wonder if a company will release a console controller with NO D-Pad one day... I doubt it, but it might happen, again neglegable because they both do it.
Dual Analog Stick: Yes/No
Dual Analog stick is slightly outweight by Single Analogue and On-screen pointer in my opinion but in terms of 'technical superiority' i think the Dual Analogue sick can do anything the On-Screen Pointer can do... the On-Screen Pointer just does it better in SOME situations... whether it works for FPS or not yet we don't know.
Rumble: No/Yes
This is a point of technical superiority but honestly it isn't that big a deal, yes it's a yes no answer but how much weight does this ad to the benefits of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk?
Speaker: No/Yes
Again something the PS3 controller is missing all together, but does it ad that much to the game? I like it... but I don't know if it's all hail superioty type of thing... it just helps to differential.
Built in memory: No/Yes
What does this do to help game-play or gaming? Nothing, yes it has it for Mii's which is a cool addition, but overall not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.
Replacable batteries: No/Yes
This is a NEGATIVE for the Wii Remote in my opinion... the PS3 controller can be charged over and over again while forking out for batteries every few weeks is EXPENSIVE.
On-screen pointer: No/Yes
Fits into the Dual Analogue Stick with a fair chunk of superiority of this going to the Wii Controller because the pointer system is fantastic... I can't imagine playing Zelda (or games like it with targetting) any other way.
3D motion capture: No/Yes
What BS is this? The PS3 SIXAXIS has virtually the same technical abilities as a single Wii Remote it's just shaped differently... it can still capture 3D motions... wtf?
Dual hand 3D motion capture: No/Yes
A half positive for the Wii Remote / Nunchuk option, despite the fact that you need to attach an extra accessory the motion detection in the Nunchuk is crappy.
There you go, while I haven't necassarily said anything ISN'T fact, all of the features you pointed out aren't as simple as yes no answers and giving one point for yes and 0 points for no... it's all comparative... some things are far more important than others, and the ONLY things that I think makes the Wii Remote a superior controller is the split controllers for comfort and the IR Pointer (that's the clincher) and I don't really disagree with you I just think it's a fanboy list because it's a LIST not insight into each of the features.
I'm not having a go, and i'm not a Sony or 360 fanboy at all, I'm just shedding some light.
