Sony can't change their controller due to the massive uproar that would happen, don't you remember when the first pics of the PS3 came out and it had the different controller, all the fans went crazy and demanded the old controller type. The PS2 controller had much better L2 and R2 buttons, with the new ones your finger slides off of it when playing racing games. The wiimote is a controller that is very odd and confusing to use, i like the other controllers much better. I found that the 360 has by far the best controller this gen, if they could make a better D-pad then all would be good, but i still like the way the PS3 has kept the analog sticks.
Plus the battery in the PS3 controller is amazing, it lasts forever on a charge, and you don't need to buy $5 batteries every month, like you need to with the other controllers.
