The GCD in FFXIV is in a way like an invisible ATB bar.

In FFXV, what disappoints me is not the combat system, but it is how none of the characters seem to have a unique style. Besides Noctis teleporting, and the gunner guy using a gun, everyone else is pulling out swords from thin air and slashing away at enemies. Not enough unique weapons for each character, and magic spells is hardly used in these demos, and only Noctis can use magics.

FF fans are the hardest fans to please. They seem to always want something different yet seem to want things to remain the same at the same time. I for one couldn't be happier that the combat system and party system in FF15 is so different. And I'm willing to see how it plays out to see if the game is a good game and not what I think it could have been if it were made like some other final fantasy I played.

As for your exact concerns, have you played kingdom hearts? Or FF12? from what has been shown and what has been said the party system borrows heavily from those two games. using the support structure of kingdom hearts and the macro management if FF12.

The sooner you start looking at FF15 as a one character game (like KH) with support characters that give you exonaded defence/attack options if used skillfully the better for you. And the sooner you accept that they are taking the focus away from micro managing; scrolling through menues to use a potion when u can just run up to a fallen ally to heal them or hiding/taking yourself outta combat to regain strength, the better for you too.

I may be mistaken, but I feel the changes cab add to the actual gameplay depth of the game as opposed to suggesting depth while burying you in menu navigation. Now everything happens in realtime, or at least mist of it. And if the team attacks from KH are anything to go by and from what I have seen of FF15.... I honestly can't wait.
