Official estimate. But likely to be a muvh more accurate estimate than VGC. I picked 600K for The Order, so with rounding it's good to see I was 100% accurate A good hold over for N3DS, dropping only 32% suggests a decent baseline for most of the year. 3DS baseline in March 2014 was ~120K per week, it will be interesting to see where N3DS lands in March with the first week in March being the 4th week post N3DS. 150K perhap on weeks where there are no significant releases? DOA seems to be a franchise that is about to die, something about which I have essentially no opinion, but which possibly speaks to the maturation (ageing) of the gaming market. I know pretty much nothing about the franchise but from an outsider's perspective it seems like a game which has it's main aim of being putting scantily clad young women on screen with substantial boob jiggle...and some fighting. |
actually Tecmo has been trying to make it more serious with this installment, the boob jiggle isnt anywhere near over the top as it used to be. I think its better for it but this is something that should have been done years ago around the time SF4 came out and put fighters back on the map. Now its a little too late despite going back to being multiplatform

We already know The Order dropped 56% in the UK for its second week, so if that pattern holds globally that would put The Order's 2nd week at 245K. I think the global drop might be more like 60% though so I will guess 200K fot the Order's 2nd week. I'm guessing it will hit ~800K by the time the launch phase is over and then we'll see how long it takes to leg it out to 1 million.
