I see your point, but MS is kinda just throwing money at them for an exclusive. There are a lot of games that MS, Sony, or some other publisher threw money at that are called indie. At this rate we could probably argue games with support from Kick Starter aren't indie either, because they had help!

In my opinion, something like Ori is still indie unless MS owns the IP.

Microsoft does own the IP. Its not Indie. 

And when I say "they had help" you know I mean from a publisher.
