Ni No Kuni is a great game, but its battle system is flawed. Luckily, it has that Ghibli charm, which carries the whole game.
Southpark is awesome through and through if you enjoy the animated series a bare minimum. Truly a remarkable game.
I am currently playing FF IX on ePSXe with the Natural Vision plugin and it looks really good! But I have to say that the battle system is way too slow.
When it comes to turn-based battle systems, I think the series peaked with FF X-2. The game might not have been the best, but its battle system had all he right ideas, dosed perfectly, and it was fast paced and fun. If they could make an other game with a similar battle system but without the over-abondance of exposition, I'd welcome a return to turn-based.
For now, I'm intrigued by just how deep and fun they've made the battle system of XV.
