Really good review, there are really only two things I disagree with.
1. I had no issue with the black bars, I just never really noticed them and having them freed up resources. Not saying all games should do it, but it seemed to work fine in this case.
2. I would be really disappointed if they just flat out dropped the cinematic focus for the sequel. That's taking the easy way out in my opinion. I think they should just make the parts of the game you actually play longer, and give you more opportunities to learn about the world and the characters in it.
