I love the aspect ratio, much more visibility to the sides than in the usual narrow fov shooter. I haven't had any problems so far with visibility in gun fights. Yes it does restrict your view a bit while peeking over boxes while hiding. That's cheating anyway...

I would have liked more interaction with the world as well. More newspaper articles (with the ability to zoom in, even om my projector they're a strain to read) and more items to find. I enjoyed all the little extras in Portal 2, that kind of stuff.

I'm enjoying the gun fights so far. It's nothing new but the guns feel right and are fun to play with. I hope I get my hands on that fire gun again, it got yanked away but a cut scene just after I got it in the docks :/

Genre: Cinematic adventure imo.

I can just stand here for 10 minutes to watch the various ships sail by and the cranes go about their business. Level of detail is amazing.

The horizontal visibility was great. But there were many instances where I would have traded those black bars for greater vertical visbility, especially when firing from behind cover. In general, I think the aspect ratio speaks to the greater problem of The Order, which is a deep focus on cinematic presentation at the expense of playability, for lack of a better word.

I totally agree about the guns. I've played more shooters than I care to admit, and the guns in The Order are some of the most interesting and enjoyable weapons I've used in a long time. I'm a sucker for revolvers and carbines, though :)
