even if true which i doubt it is, its still too expensive. Internet there where i live costs 10 bucks. Ad 5 or 6 and its still cheaper and a lot faster.

Actually this was true. Sega was your ISP. It was dialup based. It was also free for the first 30 days if I remember correctly. I remember playing PSO and NFL2K after signing up for it.
