Hey, but there's a bright side to the Great Microsoft Meltdown. The richest. most arrogant bunch of monopolists on this planet failed miserably in an attempt to extend their monopoly to a major media market. That says something good about the inherent diversity, creativity, and innovation of the videogame industry.
The saddest thing about Microsoft is that nothing they do really matters to the industry anymore. Thanks to questionable hardware decisions and a lack of build quality, they've become irrelevant to the next five years of console gaming. Maybe in 2012 they can try again, if some South Korean firm doesn't beat them to the punch.
