PS4 2.50 update will add the long awaited suspend/resume feature + other features. Coming March/April.

Yeah I guess that's the main reason.  I just feel like it's hardly worth all the fuss that's been made about it.  Games save pretty frequently nowadays and PS4 starts up well even from total shutdown.  Still nice to check another box early in the lifecycle.  Button mapping is cool though.  Trophy sharing and screenshots is the coolest thing for me.
