Last gen, sharing was so much easier, but this gen has been locked down pretty tightly. Moving forward, what do you think the standard of sharing digital should be?
PS4: Shareplay- Pass control over the network to a friend or have them join multiplayer with you.
3DS/DS: multiplayer wifi- Some games allow you to play multiplayer wifi games with only one copy of a game
PS3/PSP: Multiple Licenses- In the past, ps3 and psp gave multiple licenses per digital purchase that could then be shared with friends
STEAM: Steam Users on PC can authorize up to 10 devices to share their digital library with. The authorized users may access your library at any time, and when the primary account holder would like to play, it notifies the other user and gives them a couple minutes before re-allowing access.

ps3 started with 6 i think then reduced to 3 but ps4 still supports 2. one license for the "primary hardware" and another to the account. I gameshare with a friend that way,.. we have each others login info so i can play his games if i want to just buy loging into his account.
not 100% on this but i believe xbox is the same.
worth noting that the ps3 "share" was for digital content only. shareplay is digital or disc.

Since then, ToS has changed to say that these methods of sharing are not allowed by either MS or Sony.
Hotswaps and workarounds isn't really sharing.
But yes, both of these options work on ps4 and x1.
Steam on the other hand fully endorses sharing like this.
