Although its from november 2013 I would say the final boss of super mario 3d world (It's so recent and really close to 2014). The fight itself wasn't that difficult but as a spectacle it was simply amazing, there was just so much going on and scaling a skyscraper while being pursued by five huge cat bowsers in the pouring rain looked stunning.
