It was bascially 2 weeks in the top 100 and I was sure it would be out of the top 100 before the end of Feb. When you look at the top 100 there aren't many full priced games there that are not the latest games in franchises that have been around quite a ling time. I think Dying Light (PS4 version in the 80s) is about the only exception to that. |
Honestly, I expected it to last quite a bit just based on the fact that it's a PS4 exclusive. Infamous SS still shows up in the Top 100 from time to time, and that came out last year (like, the beginning of last year). Likewise, Middle-Earth and (like you said) Dying Light are still charting. I guess word of mouth just killed its momentum.
I think the bolded statement just applies to the game industry as a whole, lol.
