I agree with you on almost every account; the raccoon siut is aweseom, but that's only because it open ups new areas to explore and beat a level. How was SMB3 longer though? I haven't finished NSMB yet, but NSMBWii has a ton of challenging bonus levels which adds game time and difficulty. But I do agree that Nintendo should step up and push some bounderies with NSMB! Or even better, drop the whole New thing; it isn't new any longer. Try out new things with every instalment and don't reuse the same damn art work and music!

It had more levels than NSMB and the levels were longer. NSMBWii is a much better game than NSMB when you get past the mediocore and gimmicky multiplayer. NSMB just felt too safe. And it is absolutely ridiculous we had FOUR of these damn things. Hell even on the NES we had three games that had completly different designs(2 if you lived in Japan) and thats before we even jumped into the portable entries. IMHO i just think Ninty doesnt really have an interest in really pushing 2d Mario. It feels like they peaked at least artistically with World which is why we hadnt seen one in so long. Im not agreeing with that but with the sales they put up why would they try harder?

What?! I Thought the multiplayer was the best thing with NSMBWii! Me and my gf loved playing together. But I agree that four entries is enough, let's try something new now! And looking at the sales, that's what most people feel like. I think the NSMB-series was a great way to re-intreduce 2D Mario, but it's time to move on and try new things

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
