You're not a sociopath or would have become one. A sociopath doesn't feel sorry for being a sociopath.
And just because someone is a psychopath or sociopath doesn't mean he'll become a criminal. Although the likelyhood of becoming one increases.
There's nothing wrong with taking pleasure in hurting other people. You just need to find a good outlet for those feelings. S&M is a good example or boxing... I.e nothing illegal.
Every time I see a girl cry for example I can't help but sadistically smile at it. Probably an awful thing to admit, but I don't care lol.
