I get it! The right answer is to get that instead of a PS4 and XBone because it's cheaper and gives basically the same experiences as the Xbone and PS4. 

Those 2 are too expensive though, needlessly expensive to be honest. Be honest, if most people needed to choose between a 3rd party game machine and a Nintendo game machine, and then if they're told the 3rd party one is 100 bucks cheaper, guess which one would be outselling the other 10 to 1.
