yeah a few people have said G&G, i never played it, what made it so hard?

Getting to and beating the final boss is incredibly difficult in of itself...  but after you beat the boss you have to start all over from the beginning on a harder difficulty mode and THEN beat the final boss again to see the ending

I just threw in the towel once I discovered that.
