Again, Sony wasn't forthcoming about how much of a cinematic expeirence The Order is. Why? Shooting fans buy more games than fans of niche genres.

In regards to Beyond: Two Souls. I'm arguing a scene from the ending shouldn't be in the TV ad. That leads people (like me) to believe that's something you would actually see during the campaign. Hence, its misleading.

Some of us were arguing The Order looks too cinematic and boring. Others were trying to lead us into believing the game had more focus on gameplay than it actually does. Why was this discussion happening? Because Sony mislead people about what time of game The Order actually is and now there are many disappointed shooting fans. That's part of the reason it got bad reviews, Sony sold it to the wrong audience in hopes of greater profit.

I'm flat out accusing Sony of being decpetive with their marketing of The Order. I'm not trying to convince you, I'm telling you what I believe.

Lol they can't help it if you ration out how much shooting there's going to be in the game.  You can accuse them of whatever you like the bottom line is the game was advertised as a cinematic TPS and that's exactly what it was.  Sometimes there were longer cutscenes and sometimes there were longer firefights.  You can't tell from advertising what the ratio is going to be and anyone who wants to accuse a company of lying because they've tried to do that is just fishing for accusations.  I'm not sure what game you played but after platinuming it I can safely say that it had plenty of shooting to be called a shooter.

Also while I agree they shouldn't spoil the ending of B2S there's no way you could tell it's from the ending so they aren't spoiling it.  It is in the game however so I'm not sure what you're mad about.  What you thought was in there was in there.

I'm not arguing whether its a shooter. However, Sony was aiming for the average shooter fan in their marketing, but it was more cinematic than anticipated. I don't think Sony was as forthcoming as they should have been with that. That's why a lot of shooting fans reviewed the game and were disappointed.

And you again missed my point about Beyond: Two Souls. The commerical lead me to believe that scene was part of the game. Not some teaser for a potential sequeal. For example, what if a Marvel movie used a scene from a teaser ending in their trailer? That could mislead people about what happens in the actual movie. Hence, that was the most interesting scene in the entirety of Beyond: Two Souls but it had NOTHING to do with actual story of the game.

Plenty of movies have used ending scenes in their trailers.  If it was an important scene (which I'm thinking the one you're talking about is if it's what I think it is) then it's not exactly unprecedented.  If they had showed the jump from Halo 2 in an ad with no context I wouldn't have minded when I got to the end.  I mean it's not something that I really care about.

People didn't like the order because it was "generic" or whatever.  In fact I'm still not sure what reviewers hated so much exactly as I've played plenty of TPS that play worse.
