That's an interesting choice. I always went in there with a holy weapon or the Greatsword of Artorias and never had any issues with the skeletons, and there are few handy short cuts too. Tomb of the Giants on the other hand.... ugh...

See, I would say Anor Londo. I've cleared both the Catacombs and the Tomb of the Giants several times, and I die a lot every time, but I've never felt like the game was cheesing me. The two archers covering the spire in Anor Londo, though....
