I have the Xperia Z ultra, 6.4 inch which I like very much and I think Sony was ahead of everyone, others are only now offering 6 inch devices. I appreciate Sonys newly found support for open standards like microSD, NCF,etc etc, no more proprietary stuff.
I think Android is the right platform, and the way how Sony is integrating PS ecosystem is genuinely good.
Sonys problem is marketing. They need to hype their stuff like Apple and Samsung. I hope K Hirai can turn Sony to profits, but it takes a lot of damage control after H Stringers era when Sony pushed DRM, proprietary standards etc which eventually damaged the brand.
