I wanna say neither of them were reading PS3 discs, but one of them might have just not turned on. The random Best Buy ones I have no idea about as it was a friend just talking about what he saw, and probably inflated the number at that. It was a couple years ago, and none of us really thought much of it. There really wasn't any reason to as there was no wide-spread reports of it so it was just the luck of the draw. Stastical anamolies are bound to happen. Another great example is I know of only one person who has ever gotten the RROD despite knowing plenty of people with a 360, and almost all of my friends who want a Wii have been able to get one without much trouble. Anecdotal evidence is good for nothing but trolling though so I don't try to use my experiences as proof of anything.
