Because you know what Miyamoto says. Delayed games will be good eventually, rushed games will suck forever.

I agree about the delay aspect...someone should have told this to the guys who made Lair...

uhhhh....do you not remember how many times lair got delayed???? i think they eventually realized the game was going to be crap no matter what and that they should just realease it before putting more resources into a steaming pile of you know what.
