This is obvious. These are businesses, clicks generate money. It's a small fraction of an issue, though. Affecting pretty much just the lower scale sites, as the article suggests. People throw it up any time their favorite new game gets below what they think it should.

Seems like even that article is biased and has credibility issues. Why don't they discuss the other end of the spectrum? Didn't a site counted on Metacritic give The Order a 9.5? Who doubts that was anything but clickbait?
