Well... I am not saying that at all... I am saying that games that don't have controller support like RTS games are designed with a mouse and keyboard for a reason and if you are going to play with a controller, you will be at a disadvantage. I agree that the steam controller will probably be better than a normal controller when it comes to games like RTS but it will still be no where close to the advantage that people will get if they use a keyboard/mouse, specially if you are using hotkeys and shortcuts as well as many other things which people do. If you are playing an RTS like sc2 which relies on heavy Micro and you use a controller, you are certainly going to lose whether it be an xbox controller or a steam controller.

Now, with that being said, if you think that the steam controller is great for ur sitution, great, I got no issues with that but for me, I will stick with an xbox controller because I don't need to play with a controller for RTS games or games that aren't ment to be played with a controller

Most people do not care about being ultra competive in strategy games, technically no PC game without controller support is meant to be played with a controller though..... I do not think anybody is making the arguement that the Steam Controller will perform on par with a keyboard and mouse but the majority of the people interested in a Steam Controller do not care.

Well, the question will certainly be exactly how many people do care about playing a PC game with a controller that was not ment to be played with a controller... Specially RTS games and other games. Its not even about being ultra-competitive since many non-competitive people play sc2... I don't even think games like command and conquer would work that well with a controller once you are versing someone online who uses a keyboard/mouse.

And yes, you could say that about the whole "no PC game without controller support is meant etc" but there are many games that are designed around mouse and keyboard for a reason and there are plenty of hotkeys and button combinations that are avaliable to keyboard users that you can't do with a controller because there just aren't enough buttons on the controller. If you really want to do it just for casual play, then sure but I doubt that will justify the purchase for most people if they already have a xbox controller which I am sure many do. We will see how well it sells but for me, I am not very interested cause I never really have the need to play games like sc2 with a controller cause even at the lower leagues and online arcade matches, I would probably lose
