If you are trying to say that playing PC games without controller support with a normal controller is anything above playable I do not know what to tell you. I have tried to play tons of games with a controller and very few were anything above playable. The Steam Controller should allow you to play RTS games on your tv, if you watch the videos on it, it looks effortless. It will fall short of a keyboard and mouse for sure but all I am looking for is a better option than what we have now (which is terrible)

Well... I am not saying that at all... I am saying that games that don't have controller support like RTS games are designed with a mouse and keyboard for a reason and if you are going to play with a controller, you will be at a disadvantage. I agree that the steam controller will probably be better than a normal controller when it comes to games like RTS but it will still be no where close to the advantage that people will get if they use a keyboard/mouse, specially if you are using hotkeys and shortcuts as well as many other things which people do. If you are playing an RTS like sc2 which relies on heavy Micro + Macro and you use a controller, you are certainly going to lose whether it be an xbox controller or a steam controller.

Now, with that being said, if you think that the steam controller is great for ur sitution, great, I got no issues with that but for me, I will stick with an xbox controller because I don't need to play with a controller for RTS games or games that aren't ment to be played with a controller
