I wouldn't be surprised if "The Last Guardian" ended up mirroring Nintendo's "Pikmin 3", being worth it for anyone who payed attention but also being fleeting bliss in the grand scheme. It took Nintendo nearly a decade after Pikmin 2 (April 29, 2004) for Pikmin 3 (July 13, 2013) to happen. Ofcourse one hopes The Last Guardian doesn't cross into Kid-Icarus territory in terms of waiting!
