well this applies to most people though, for example, countless people are being needlessly killed in the middle east as we post because of manipulations by western countries and most people don't really care so you aren't unique in that regard
its just that people like to pretend that they care about reducing violence and being moral so that they can be socially accepted... if the situation isn't one where they can obtain some degree of social acceptance then the concern quickly evaporates
