As someone who doesn't play MMOs much I can't see this but then the style of this game reminds me of X-men Legends and FF12, which is why I love the series. X-men Legends was you controlling a small party who you could control all of them, FF12 and DA:O were very similar in style to this.
Sure there are fetch quests or 'kill the enemy' quests but there are few RPGs that don't have such things nowadays.
It's weird that many quote gameplay time as well, people say 'less than 100h', my first playthrough was 55 hours, although I did skip some areas so that when I did play a new character there was something different in the game. :) I'm on my third playthrough now, 30 hours in, after 2 55 hour playthroughs.
