Honestly, I don't see it going anywhere.
They had some opportunities to make some dent with the introduction of steam machines a while back, but it just fell flat on its face. Poor choices, poor pricing, a diversity of machines that probably just confused potential buyers, and well, most gamers are on windows anyways. Not much incentive to move to Linux-based steam machines.
