A agree with most of your criticisms, but I still had fun with the game. Except you are way oversimplifying things by saying the main missions are all point a to be to c quests. So it's a 6.5/10 for me.

I played through the game twice to do the good and evil plays and while the difference in powers was not as stark as with the first 2 games my second play through still felt different enough that I enjoyed it. Not pleased that they didn't implement Move for this game. inFamous 2 was fun to play using Move. First Light is a great stand alone expansion. Whether it could have been a full blown game or not is hard to say, but after playing it I felt like I wanted Fetch to be the main character in the next inFamous game rather than Delsin. I think Deslin being a conduit sponge was a good concept, but it made it very difficult to create meaningful good / evil power trees for all those powers. She would be more like Cole in that she focuses entirely on one power with it changing dramatically depending on her karma. Though like Cole in InFamous 2 perhaps she could gain one additional power from some unusual event. They could have made things better by creating mission parameters that could be played with any power, but that one particular power was more useful. The chase side quests obviously could be completed with any power but it's clear they are easiest with neon or video because you can chase the person down very easily. But it could have been used to create more variety in side missions.

InFamous 2 was the high point of the series so far.
