I vaguely remember playing the original NES and Atari when I was super young. When I was 4-5 that's when I discovered my favorite game ever made "Earthbound". I mostly just watched people play it till a year or two later when I was a bit older to play it. I liked the SNES but we had a Genesis at our house, I remember in kindergarten I missed school and ended up playing Sonic 2 all day. When I went to school the next day I accidentally told my teacher about it, lol she wasn't pleased.
I went to my step dad's house a lot and they had an NES and SNES I would play there. I would play Earthbound every time I went there, sometimes I'd play Final Fantasy III or some of the other RPGs. I eventually got a SNES of my own, it was the first video game console I had all to myself. I remember only owning Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and Kirby's Avalanche for a long time.
When I was 7 I was introduced to my friends Gameboy and Pokemon Blue game, I was addicted to that thing. I'd give him rare Pokemon cards just so I can play it, on my 8th birthday I got a Gameboy pocket with Pokemon Red and it was like the best day of my life. I played that game religiously, hours on end. When my friends and I "hanged out" it was really just us sitting in a room playing Pokemon lol. The addiction was real.
Once I played FF7 at my friends house, a new addiction was born. Not only did I become a Squaresoft fanboy and a Final Fantasy fanboy... I was just a fanboy of JRPGs in general. I downloaded a bunch of AMVs and made CDs full of Final Fantasy music. And when I saw the PS2 there was nothing in the world that I wanted more than to just play Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X.
Eventually I was introduced to Halo CE, I didn't really think much of it since I didn't like shooters. Everyone where I lived got an Xbox eventually with Halo CE and I was FORCED to play it LOL. We played it so much I started to like it. When Halo 3 came out everyone got a 360, I was kind of torn on what to choose as my main console but I ended up going to the Xbox 360 because Halo 3 and friends. And I guess that's when my Halo addiction started and when I became an Xbox fan.
But yeah I guess that's a condensed history. I also played the N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Game Gear, GBC, GBA, NDS, and PSP a shit ton.
