How are review numbers ruining gaming? Metacritic scores and sales do not seem to correlate.

They dampen my enjoyment of games. For example, I got Yoshi's New Island and liked it, the next day I looked up the Metascore and never played the game again.

this is about one of the dumbest things i have ever read, a review of a game made you never play a game you liked before reading the review?  WTF if you like a game you like a game, reviews shouldnt change your mind on that.  as for The Order i read the reviews and i disagree with many of them, the story in this game is damn great yes there are QTE's but they seem to be there more to avoid making the game over difficult and or to make it easier on the developers they also serve the purpose of moving the story along.  The one thing they did absolutly perfect with the QTE is they made it so if you failed it you didnt go back any further then that one QTEs beginning.  unlike some games that seem to throw you all the way back to a random check point 30 mins ago lol.  the graphics on this game are just beatuful.  Did i mention the story my wife actually watched me play this game which is the first time shes done that since TLoU which was a much longer game albeit, hell when the order ended she was like WTF whens the next one coming out.  is the game perfect no, the gameplay at times was kinda boring But all in all i enjoyed the game despite what the reviewers say, as far as im concerned they can suck a egg lol.
