Because new IP's (like uncharted, and I dunno, the 20 or so that have also outsold zelda) outsell many nintendo games, and this is not just currently, but historically accurate as well.
You can't say WiiU and it's games are of low quality and point to the sales of the console as evidence. Nintendo has a history of low support among the fanbase, outside of 1 or 2 mario franchises.

Okay, I sort of see your point (forgive me, but the way you are wording some things have been making your point quite confusing), but I think that is downplaying the sales that a lot of Nintendo games get... 5+mil is nothing to sneeze at, regardless of whether other games have sold better.
It just feels like a non-point to me.
