1st off the thing that you have to remember about SONY is that their always adding new and exing 1st party games to their resume. ALWAYS.
Secondly, most if not all of their big 1st party stuff are all multi million sellers. Killzone, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Ratchet & Clank, Motorstorm, God Of War, Wipeout etc.
And every new IP that has been released lately has been received with good to great sales. Heavy Rain, Dark Souls, Fat Princess, Driveclub, Beyond 2 Souls, The Last Of Us.
Meta scores now and may never give a conclusive overview of how good a game is. Everyone's taste are most times all over the place, but best be sure and you can take this to the bank, SONY will continue to release new IP's and will also continue to take chances on new studios in order to strengthen the Playstation brand. If I were a betting man on which of the big 3 will release the better 1st party lineup in the near future, I would bet on the Playstation.
